1. Installation

This readme file is one of two files included in a zip file that can be downloaded from the Sim4t web site (http://www.sim4t.com). If you did not obtain the zip file from the Sim4t web site please delete it and download the latest authorised version.

The zip file "UV-Vis-Absorption-Experiment-1.zip" contains the following files:
  "UV-Vis Absorption Experiment 1 - Readme.txt" - this file
  "UV-Vis Absorption Experiment 1 - Setup.exe" - the installation program

When you run the installation program it will install the application program and support files. It will also setup start menu links for running the program and (optionally) a desktop icon for running the program.

By default, the software installs to directory "C:\Sim4t\". This can be changed at install time but please be aware that (especially with Windows 7 and later) some directories have access restrictions imposed by the Windows operating system and these can prevent correct operation of the software. To avoid these problems please stick with the default!

  "C:\Sim4t\UV-Vis Absorption Experiment 1\Sessions\DEMO.s4t" - a demonstration session

By default, start menu items are created in a group named "Sim4t - UV-Vis Absorption Experiment 1". The following entries are created:
"UV-Vis Absorption Experiment 1" - starts the program.
"Getting Started" - displays brief instructions for running the program.
"Licence Terms" - displays a copy of the software licence.
"Readme" - displays a copy of this readme file.
